Bidding the summer interns goodbye!

Foodshare was very lucky to have two great college interns this summer, Alana Benito (left in photo) and Carolyn Rau.  Carolyn's last day at Foodshare is today and Alana's last day is tomorrow, so we took a few minutes to thank them and wish them well with a gigantic frosted chocolate chip cookie today!

It was great to hear the staff members who have worked with Alana and Carolyn talk about all the great work they did this summer, including working on planning and promotion for Hunger Action Month (coming in September) and the Student Voices Against Hunger, helping to recruit new volunteers to assist with the retail pick-up program, and helping with the planning and promotion for the annual Food Industry Convoy of Caring to be held on September 27.
