Recognizing dedicated volunteers

Peter Chenette was a Turkey Team captain
and is a dedicated volunteer in the SNAP and
Mobile Foodshare programs, as well as
retail pick-up and the warehouse!

Congratulations to our honorees at yesterday’s “President’s Circle Luncheon.”  We honored individual and group volunteers who had met the President’s Circle criteria which includes being involved in the Walk Against Hunger, Turkey and a Twenty, and volunteering in other ways to support Foodshare’s work to end hunger.

Individuals recognized included:  Andy Stern, Fred Arnold, Peter Chenette, Lowell Fewster, Tony Hayes, Linda Martyn, Kat McCartney, Ed Siegal, Jim Urso, Sunny Lindamood, and Carmen Evans-Reid.

Groups recognized included:  American Eagle Federal Credit Union, Bank of America, Gifts of Love, Gilead Congregational Church, Pepperidge Farm, YHB Investment Advisors, Tranquil Menagerie 4-H Club, and the United Congregational Church of Tolland.

YHB had a Walk Against Hunger Team and a Turkey Team.
They also sponsored Foodshare's booth at Celebrate West Hartford and
included an article about Foodshare in their company newsletter!
