School breakfast and hunger

End Hunger CT!, CT No Kid Hungry campaign, Foodshare, and CT Food Bank invite you to learn about the federal School Breakfast Program and what it has to do with you on a webinar on Tuesday, September 25th from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m.

Better understand how this program is not only important to the families you serve but also how it benefits your agency’s programs.

Discover easy ways you and your agency can be effective advocates for school breakfast in your community while ensuring that students have the food and nutrition they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Representatives from End Hunger CT! will lead a presentation and discussion on the basics of the School Breakfast Program, including:
  • Information about the importance and benefits of school breakfast to families, the community, and your agency,
  • Where your town stands in participation in the program,
  • What you should know about the CT No Kid Hungry campaign and Governor Malloy’s CT School Breakfast Challenge and the USDA School Breakfast Innovation Challenge, and, most important;
  • What you can do to start and support efforts to expand school breakfast in your community!
