Lighting the night to fight hunger

A nice message in my inbox this morning:

The West Hartford Art League recently held a fundraising event called Light Up the Night to raise money for Foodshare and the Town of West Hartford Food pantry.

We sold luminaria for $5 each which were lit on our grounds on the evening of September 15^th. I’m happy to say we raised $1,000 which will be splitting between the two organizations. I have included a few photos for you of the event. We were lucky enough to have a group of students help us light all the candles!

This is the second time we have held this event to benefit both organizations, and we hope to make it an annual event. I hope this helps in some small way.
