New school food rules

I heard this morning from a school food service director about issues with the new regulations for school lunches, which include a calorie cap and the requirement for fruits and vegetables with each meal.  While these sound like good ideas, for many active teens, or those who are taller than average, like my own children, the calorie caps are too low.  In addition, many times the students are being forced to take a fruit or a vegetable that they don't want and they immediately throw it out.
