Turkey Tuesday in downtown Hartford

Today was Turkey Tuesday in downtown Hartford and thanks to our friends at Bank of America and WDRC-AM 1360 The Talk of Connecticut, Foodshare received 1,342 turkeys from many generous donors this morning.

Special thanks to Brad Davis, Mary Jones, and the team at WDRC; to the great volunteers from Bank of America and United Health Care; to Governor Malloy and Senator Blumenthal; and to everyone who came out to donate. 

It was a great kick-off to a week of Turkey and Thirty drives.  If you couldn't make it down this morning, hope you'll be able to join us at another event this week.





A highlight of the morning was the delivery of 250 turkeys delivered by the team
at Laz Parking!  Thank you to everyone at Laz for your generous support!
