YUM!

Last month the Phoenix Life Insurance Companies held their annual Ice Cream Extravaganza to raise money for Foodshare. 

Organized by the Summer interns, this week-long event included daily ice-cream themed events such as an Iron Chef-style dessert contest and Celebrity Scoop Day where Phoenix Executives scooped ice cream for employees at lunch.  The Extravaganza culminated with an ice cream eating contest at AC Petersen’s in West Hartford where employees pledged a donation based on how many scoops they felt a given competitor would eat. 

The Phoenix Interns raised an incredible $5,985 and the winner of the ice cream eating contest ate an astounding 18 scoops of ice cream!  Talk about brain-freeze!
