On December 20, Connecticut CARSTARS presented a check for $5,500 to Foodshare, along with approximately 1,000 lbs of non-perishable food.  The food was donated directly to one of Foodshare’s partner organizations in that town.  Donations were received from CARSTAR vendors, staff, and customers.

The ceremonial presentation of an over-sized check was held at Collision Automotive CARSTAR of East Hartford.  The 6 CARSTAR owners presented the donation to Foodshare Vice President Alicia Flynn.  Also present were Anne Marie Andrews and Michael Rotondo, Coordinators of the Transitions Food Pantry at Goodwin College and Connecticut State Representatives Henry Genga and Tim Larson.
