This morning, one our long-time volunteers stopped by my office with an envelope. She explained that she and her husband have been taking the deposit cans and bottles from the recycling area in Foodshare's employee/volunteer break room and cashing them in.
Inside the envelope? A crisp new $50 bill!
That's a lot of $.05 deposits!
