DaVita Dialysis donation

Lynn Cybulski and Alyssa Brennan of DaVita Dialysis – Bloomfield office presented a check for $1000 to Foodshare on Monday. Lynn is a social worker and Alyssa is a dietitian at DaVita, helping renal (kidney) patients to eat healthy foods to support their bodies as they go through dialysis. Many of their clients are food insecure, and they struggle to afford healthy foods in particular, and so the Mobile Foodshare program is incredibly helpful to make sure that fresh fruits and vegetables are available to them.

Lynn worked hard to apply for and receive this corporate grant that will help Foodshare continue to offer healthy foods to anyone who is hungry. Lynn and Alyssa got a tour of Foodshare and got to see the behind-the-scenes workings of how a foodbank operates. We look forward to seeing some DaVita employees at Foodshare as volunteers as well.
