New Interns at Foodshare!

We are excited to welcome two new interns to Foodshare: Emma Tani and Jason Cerbone! They have been helping out in two departments: Community Involvement (Emma) and Agency Relations (Jason). Let us introduce them...

Emma: I am a junior at Trinity College. All my life I’ve grown up in the suburbs of Orange County, California, and because of this, I haven’t been exposed to much of the extreme poverty that I’ve come in contact with while studying here in Hartford. This exposure has led to a greater appreciation for the less fortunate and an increased passion to involve myself with the surrounding community. Since my arrival at Foodshare, I have been extremely impressed with the organization. The environment is welcoming and upbeat. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, making my experience thus far, very worthwhile.

Jason: I am a student at MCC majoring in Human Services. My main goal is to become a Social Worker. I want to say that I very much look forward to this experience, and that I will do everything I can to not only learn and absorb as much as possible from the professionals that work here, but also to contribute and help Foodshare meet its goals. I appreciate this opportunity and will take as much as I can from it to become the best human service professional that I can be.
