One of the several hundred generous donors who stopped by
Foodshare today to give turkeys and money was Governor Dannel Malloy. He
arrived around noon, made his own donation, took questions from reporters from
several news outlets, chatted with President Gloria McAdam, and then toured the
building.
Along the way, he visited with Foodshare staff and volunteers and got
a look at the sea of boxes filled with turkeys in the truck bay. Today’s
donations took us very close to the goal, and the collection station will stay
open until 8 p.m. to try and reach that final number.
