A Hunger Action Team Tidbit

Windsor's "Weekend Wheels" backpack program has recently expanded its efforts by:

• Serving children that are home schooled, enabling parents to pick up the backpack at a nearby school; 
• Providing the Family Resource Centers with donated “healthy” snacks in bulk to be given to children that may be hungry throughout the school day; and  
• Distributing vouchers for a gallon of fresh milk to participating children thanks to a generous donation from Farm Credit East.
