Thursday, July 14th would have been Sandy Longtin's birthday. Her family and friends organized a food and fund drive to benefit Foodshare in her memory. As a result, Sandy's sister-in-law, Ingrid Napolitano, recently stopped by to deliver 145 lbs. of non-perishables and a $500 check from donations. An additional $190 was donated online in Sandy's memory from a drive held at the UCONN Health Center in Farmington.
Ingrid had this to say about Sandy: "Sandy was always a kind and giving person. She always went out of her way to do good things for others. We wanted to remember her in a way that celebrates her true spirit." No doubt her spirit was celebrated that day, and it certainly lives on. Thank you to all who donated in Sandy's memory!
