Today, representatives of the Davita Dialysis Group's Hartford area facilities stopped by with a donation of $2,000 and 160 pounds of food that their employees had collected. As Cheryl Craven explained to me, many of their patients rely on the food pantry at St. Francis Hospital and they knew that the pantry relies on Foodshare for most of its food, so they decided to direct their charitable efforts to Foodshare.
After the check presentation, with (l-r) Lynn Decker, Jean Carosella, Cheryl Craven, and me, I has happy to give them a tour of Foodshare's distribution facility so they could see just how much difference their gift would make!
