UConn social work students tour Foodshare

The UConn School of Social Work has been donating to Foodshare for the last several years, and although they have contributed nearly 1,000 pounds of food, Dr. Kim Hardy was anxious to do more, so she arranged a visit for her graduating students.

These future MSW’s were impressed with the scope of the work Foodshare does.  Several promised they will be participating as volunteers in the future and Dr. Hardy promised to bring future Social Work students here to learn about food security in CT!

Foodshare provides facility tours and educational opportunities to the community free of charge.  Call or email to have your group join us!
