Mobile Foodshare in West Hartford draws praise

A lovely hand-written letter I received today...

Dear Gloria,

This fall, our church became a Mobile Foodshare distribution site in West Hartford.  I am writing to tell you what a pleasure it is to work with our coordinator, Vinh Vuong, and our driver, Donny "B," and what a difference they make in the community.

From the start, Vinh clearly and professionally walked us through the various steps to determine our church's eligibility as a site.  After receiving Foodshare's approval, Vinh set up a very valuable training session with Donny B. for our volunteers and he patiently helped me spread the word in the community.  Vinh is always responsive to my questions and has offered endless support to our site.

At the site, we all love working with Donny B!  Donny is very reliable, arriving at our site on time, if not earlier, and he always greets us with a smile.  He communicates clearly, is very positive, friendly, helpful, supportive, and hard-working.  Donny is respectful of both the volunteers and the food recipients and as needed, coaches us on ways to run the site more effectively.  Our site wouldn't be such a success without him!

Both Vinh and Donny are a great reflection of the valuable work being done by Foodshare.  We appreciate their caring and concern for the success of our site and their commitment to Foodshare's cause.
