Over 350 meals were served and funding for the parent meals was through a grant provided by End Hunger CT! The lunch included grilled hamburgers and hot dogs on whole wheat buns, as well as corn on the cobb, apples, and fresh watermelon.
The Mobile Foodshare truck arrived after lunch and volunteers helped to distribute fresh produce including peaches, oranges, red peppers, grape tomatoes, apples, mangos, potatoes and bread to 309 people.
