Matrimony in the Movement

Last month, longtime Foodshare supporter Leo Canty, who is a Justice of the Peace, officiated at a couple’s wedding. This day was filled with gifts – mostly for the couple, of course. However, Leo provided yet another one, and it wasn’t just the gift of music. His regular performance fee is a contribution to Foodshare, which also served as the couple’s first official tax deduction.

“It’s a delight to perform at a wedding ceremony…and even more rewarding to do the job for the benefit of helping people get the food they need…” Leo has a point here. What is a better gift than one you can give to a married couple and your community?

Luckily for readers like you, there is no better time than now to Join the Movement by volunteering your time or making a donation to Foodshare!
