New intern joins the team at Foodshare

Lauryn is joining us this fall as an intern in the SNAP Outreach area.  Lauryn comes to us from CCSU as a student pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She will be both in the office learning about the SNAP program to assist us in expanding our reach across the two counties, as well as covering sites to work directly with the clients that benefit from our program.

Lauryn works part time at the Stop & Shop in Enfield in addition to her full time school work and interning here about 15 hours per week. Lauryn will be with our program until she finishes her Spring semester in April 2015, just before graduation in May.

Are you a student looking for a meaningful internship?  Know a student who wants an internship?  See some potential intern job desciptions here or contact Sarah at Foodshare to explore other options.
